Wilderness Response

All Things Wilderness Response is a 3rd Tier High Adventure Program at Many Point Scout Camp. The program can take on 15 Scouts who will experience a full week of hyper-concentrated Emergency Medical Training. Packed full of scenarios and outside agencies, this program sets Scouts up to change lives.

Before Supper, on Thursday, the Buckskin Staff helped the group out with a surprise scenario of water rescues. Eight victims (ranging from broken legs to severe head injuries) were saved.

The first scenario of the week. Scouts were faced with a bicycle accident that included a 10 year old victim. Ambulance and all, this scenario brought some of the shock to our crew, and gave them a little taste for the week.

On Tuesday, the Carsonville Fire Rescue team came out to guide Scouts through navigating a smoke filled building. Together with victims, fire hoses, thermal imaging, and skill, the Scouts got a first hand feel of what it is like to be in a smoke filled building.
